Tom Pullin

Tom Pullin served in the US Army for almost twenty-five years and he brings his service to his art. He says, reminiscent of his training in the military, “it would be impossible to work with metal and not have help”, teamwork is crucial. Elemental and visceral, the practice of metal forging empowered him to make peace with a haunting, emotional event. The act of “making”, itself, is healing. Pullin received a Bachelor of Art degree from the Corcoran College of Art + Design, Washington DC.

Tom Pullin is featured in the Forge episode of Craft in America.
