Explore the spontaneous and painterly printmaking technique of Monotype printmaking. Running concurrently with our exhibition, Redefining the San Andreas Faultline: Women Jewelers, this two-hour workshop will find you inspired by the colors, shapes and patterns displayed around you. These works of nine women studio jewelers will trigger your imagination as you consider how they challenged themselves through experimenting with the possibilities of their chosen medium.

Taking inspiration from California’s natural landscape and environment of creative experimentalism, their work expands the definition of wearable art in the twenty-first century. Beauty and style take on new meaning in their capable hands. Additionally, watercolors by renowned pioneering studio jeweler Merry Renk will be on view for the first time.
