Consume Chef / Maker Talk: Somni
As part of our Consume: Handcrafting L.A. Design exhibition, Craft in America will be hosting a series of talks with Los Angeles-based chefs and designers / makers. For this talk, Chef Aitor Zabala of Somni will talk about incorporating the handmade into the restaurant. Zabala is known for his artistic approach to food.
Somni chef Aitor Zabala, known for his artistic and avant-garde approach to food, will be speaking about incorporating the handmade into his modernist, 10-seat tasting counter in the SLS Hotel. Somni, a venture with pioneering chef José Andrés, is highly conceptual and experimental with its food as well as the objects used.
Following the talk, tea sommelier Kioh Park will be sharing a selection of teas harvested in China. Kioh will be there to educate and answer any questions. Teas will be available for purchase.
