Reception & Demo: Hats Off to Spring with Yvonne Lewis
The Craft in America Center is thrilled to be hosting a pop-up seasonal millinery exhibit and talk by custom milliner Yvonne Lewis, the Hatzy Lady. Participants will get a chance to see some of Yvonne’s favorite handmade looks for spring as well as a live demonstration of how they are constructed.
Yvonne will show us how she hand-blocks a hat, and a guest milliner will also demonstrate her favorite techniques. We’ll have samples of different materials plus finished creations for everyone to try on. Participants will learn about what suits their face shape, and how to wear a hat with style. Wear a hat if you’ve got a favorite, and come ready to leave wanting more!
