Artist Talk: Lisa Sorrell

Bootmaker Lisa Sorrell speaks about her life and work at the Craft in America Center.

Sorrell was featured in the FAMILY episode. Sorrell has been making boots for over 20 years, with vintage hand tools and machinery-nothing is computerized. Her dedication to learning the craft and her flair for design have established Sorrell as a master boot maker.

This talk is presented in conjunction with A Step Beyond: Contemporary Footwear, Functional to Fanciful (February 8 – April 25, 2020) at the Ben Maltz Gallery at Otis College of Art and Design.
