Concert: Joe the Quilter the Musical

Please join us for Joe the Quilter the Musical at the Craft in America Center on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 8 – 9:15pm. Joe Cunningham illustrates the life story of the historic Joe the Quilter through guitar music and quilts that he created.

Joe the Quilter or Joseph Hedley had been a tailor who took up quilting at some point in his life and became known thereafter as Joe the Quilter. He was a professional quilter, by various accounts either a hermit and itinerant quilter or a voluble and well-dressed man about town, always entertaining and seemingly prosperous.
