Chef Aitor Zabala on incorporating the handmade into his restaurant, Somni. Consume: Handcrafting L.A. Restaurant Design (10/5/19-1/4/20) focuses on handmade objects made by over 30 local artists for Southern California restaurants. The exhibition featured all forms of items associated with food consumption, including: serving boards, dishware, glasses, lighting, and furnishings. The intersection of design, art, and craft to enhance dining is the crux of this show.
