Artist Salon with Veteran and Ceramicist Thomas Orr

We are proud to host an evening conversation with Portland-based ceramicist and veteran Thomas Orr. Orr will discuss his career, California roots, inspiration, and the community of contemporary artist veterans. Orr served in Vietnam before studying art on the GI Bill at Claremont. In 1995, he moved to Portland to head the ceramics program at the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts.  He was honored as Professor Emeritus in 2013 and has established a mentorship program at his studio, the Ash Street Project. www.ashstreetproject.com/thomas-orr
