Tonight’s the Night: Craft in America’s FAMILY episode on PBS

On many PBS stations across the country, a new episode of the documentary series “Craft in America” airs this evening.
This installment of the Peabody Award-winning series visits the Moulthrop family of Georgia woodworkers; the Marioni family of Seattle glass artists; ceramist Cliff Lee and his wife, jeweler Holly, in Pennsylvania; and custom cowboy boot maker Lisa Sorrell with her children in Oklahoma.
In a review of the episode slated for our December/January issue, Christy DeSmith praises the natural feel of the filmmaking, the “glimpses of the artists as people.”
Check your local listings for dates and times, which vary widely. On KCTS in Seattle, for example, the show will air Sunday, Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. And don’t miss this sneak-peek clip of President Carter – a woodturning fan, it turns out.
