Independence Day: Politically Speaking: New American Ideals in Contemporary Jewelry

Happy Fourth of July!

In thinking about the current state of the union this holiday, Craft in America looks forward to an upcoming exhibition at our Center, Politically Speaking: New American Ideals in Contemporary Jewelry.  The exhibition will put forth a political conversation through wearable art expressions in contemporary jewelry.

The exhibition of work by twelve American jewelry artists presents a visual dialogue about current times and issues that Americans are facing in 2016. The symbolic messages of the jewelry become powerful tools and they present an opportunity to continue a deeper debate during this election year. Take a peak at the image gallery to learn more about artists in the upcoming show.

The exhibition will be on view at the Craft in America Center from August 27, 2016 through November 5, 2016.
