ARTIST TALK: JIM COHEN — ON METAL JUDAICA

The Craft in America Center hosted metalsmith and veteran Jim Cohen for a talk on “Jewish Identity and the Historical Continuum of American Metal Judaica,” Wednesday, April 29. Cohen presented on traditions of Jewish metalwork in the United States and described his journey from a career in the Air Force General Counsel’s office to his pursuit of handmade metal. This event was co-sponsored by the Jewish Wisdom and Wellness Week; the talk was part of the opening week of Active Hands: Craft by Soldiers, on view at the Center through July 4, 2015.
