Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo

Based in Miami Beach, Florida, Sebastian Duncan-Portuondo is a stained-glass mosaic artist. He first found art through his grandmother, a painter and fashion designer who left Cuba for the United States in the 1960s during the Cuban Revolution. His work takes inspiration from his Cuban-American heritage, his queer identity, and themes of home and displacement. He has a BA in Studio Art and Latin American Studies from Swarthmore College, a BFA in Painting and Art History from New World School of the Arts, and an MFA in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
