Rebecca Myers
Rebecca Myers was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1969 and raised in Lehigh Valley. Some of her earliest influences include Keith Haring, Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol, who, having come from similar backgrounds, ignited her drive to pursue a career in the arts.
She attended the Baum school of art at an early age and later the Barnstone Institute. Rebecca graduated cum laude from the Tyler school of Art in 1991. While deciding whether or not to attend graduate school, Rebecca laid the groundwork for her own jewelry line. She acquired a practical education working in the jewelry industry for five years. Ultimately, her drive and desire to fabricate her own designs led her to establish Rebecca Myers Design LLC.
In 1996, Rebecca won the prestigious American Jewelry Design Council’s New Talent Contest. She exhibited for the first time in New York at the Jewelers of America show later that year. Since then, Rebecca Meyers Design has grown into a distinct line of fine jewelry. She is continuously expanding her collection, finding inspiration within nature and evolving her technique to produce work that is both current, grounded and intriguing. Her jewelry echoes her passion for her garden and the allure of the natural world in form and pattern.
In December 2016, Rebecca opened Rebecca Myers Collection, a fine jewelry gallery and showroom featuring her work as well as her favorite jewelers and craftsmen. She has served on the board of the American Craft Council off and on throughout her career to ensure that opportunities for emerging and established artists, stay viable through the nonprofit. She is currently serving a Vice Chair.
Rebecca Myers Design sells to wholesale and retail clientele across the country. The Rebecca Myers Collection studio and showroom is located at Cross Keys in the neighborhood of Roland Park, Baltimore, Maryland. She currently lives in Baltimore with her husband Troy and their energetic son Henri.
