Po Shun Leong
Po Shun Leong is an England born, Southern California-based sculptor, furniture maker, and former architect. Po Shun is a self-taught woodworker who incorporates various types of woods in his work, some of which include debris from natural disasters or scraps from other artist’s works. He is known for his elaborate and highly-decorated wooden boxes that are a part of many museum collections. He attended the Royal College of Art, School of Sculpture in the late 1950s and received a diploma with honors from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1964. His work can be found in the collections of the Smithsonian Institution, the White House Craft Collection, and in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
