Patrick Dougherty

Patrick Dougherty is a sculptor who weaves tree saplings into site specific sculptural installations. Dougherty’s interest in carpentry and love of nature inspired him to experiment with tree saplings and learn about building techniques. In 1982, he created his first work, Maple Body Wrap and over the last 30 years, he has created over 250 “stick works” worldwide.
