Candace Kling is a textile/fiber artist and author. Kling has explored museum costume and textile collections across the country throughout her lifetime, teaching as she goes. She creates her highly detailed sculptures by manipulating ribbon and other materials to create helmets, headdresses, candy boxes, monumental waterfalls, amongst many other objects. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Kling holds a BFA from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, California. Her works are included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Arts and Design and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Kling frequently holds lectures and workshops where she teaches people the artistry of her craft.
