Ann Savoy

Ann Savoy is a Grammy-nominated musician, an author, record producer, and photographer with a vast cascade of achievements. She is the author of the acclaimed Cajun Music: A Reflection of a People Volume I. She also contributed a chapter to the 2001 book American Roots Music and appeared in and provided photographs for the accompanying PBS series. She has appeared as a musician in two major films: The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood and All the King’s Men, and she has toured the world with her husband, accordion builder Marc Savoy, in the Savoy-Doucet Band and the Savoy Family Band. She has performed and recorded with celebrated all-women Cajun band, The Magnolia Sisters. Ann Savoy lives in Eunice, Louisiana where she continues to write, make music, and take photographs. Volume II of Cajun Music A Reflection of a People was released in January 2021.
