Jugtown Pottery is featured in the ORIGINS episode of Craft in America. It is one of America’s oldest potteries, that is located in Seagrove, NC. Vernon, a sixth generation potter, has been making pots at Jugtown for over 50 years, having started making pots for sale at the age of ten. His wife, Pam, son, Travis, and daughter, Bayle, also work as potters at Jugtown and continue the family tradition.
(The exhibition ran from May 1 – 29, 2010 at the Craft in America Center in Los Angeles. A reception and special presentation by the Owens’ was held on May 22, 2010.)
