Jon Brooks

Jon Brooks (b. 1944 Manchester, NH) is a woodworker and furniture maker. He makes use of found materials from his house and surrounding woods to create his playful furniture and sculpture. Jon derives inspiration from the natural setting in which he lives.

He received a B.F.A. and M.F.A. from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has also taught at Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Penland School of Crafts. His work can be found in the collections of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The Renwick Gallery, and the Museum of Art and Design.
