Robert Ebendorf

Robert Ebendorf (b. 1938 Topeka, KS) is a jeweler, metalsmith and educator. He uses unusual objects like soda pop tabs, crab claws, squirrel paws, silver spoons to create his unique and unconventional jewelry.

He received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Kansas. He has taught at the University of Georgia, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts and the State University of New York at New Paltz. He is the Belk Distinguished Professor at the East Carolina University School of Art in Greenville, North Carolina. He is a co-founder of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. His work can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Renwick Gallery Smithsonian Institution, the Mint Museum, Museum of Arts and Design.
